This is a 10-hour safety training course that satisfies the newly established law requiring all workers on prevailing rate jobs over $250,000.00 to have this class as mandated minimum training.

This is a 10-hour safety training course that satisfies the newly established law
requiring all workers on prevailing rate jobs over $250,000.00 to have this class as
mandated minimum training. The new law took effect July 18, 2008. It will provide the
10 hours of required training which includes an introduction to OSHA’s health and safety
standards for the construction industry. The program is tailored to first line supervisors, foreman, and workers responsible for, and involved in, construction field operations.
Participants will be instructed on how to recognize common hazards in the construction
industry, how to avoid and abate those hazards, as well as what their employer’s
responsibilities are under the OSHA Construction Standards.
Date: Tuesday May 10th 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
and
Wednesday, May 11th 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Cost: Instruction is free of charge, made possible by a grant from The NYS DOL Occupational Safety & Health Training & Education Program. However, there is a $8.00 per person fee for the OSHA card itself .
