This is a 10-hour safety training course that satisfies the established NY law requiring all workers on prevailing rate jobs with a collective value of over $250,000.00 to have this class as mandated minimum safety training. The new law took effect July 18, 2008. It will provide the 10 hours of required training which includes an introduction to OSHA’s health and safety standards for the construction industry. The program is tailored to first line supervisors, foreman, and workers responsible for, and involved in, construction field operations. Participants will be instructed on how to recognize common hazards in the construction industry, how to avoid and abate those hazards, as well as what their employer’s responsibilities are under the OSHA Construction Standards.
